A 650-Year Old Basket
Found in 2003, a basket made of birch revealed a lot about the society who lived in the North America region of its finding. The basket was about 9 inches wide with a 2 in high rim with a sloped edge. The woven pattern of the basket showed that the society had creative skills similar to modern people and scientists guess that the basket was used to gather berries or other fruit.
