A Reptile Older Than The Dinosaurs
Before Antarctica looked like it does today, it was home to many species of wildlife, like one reptile that was around about 250 million years ago. This precursor to dinosaurs was dubbed an Antarctanax Shackletoni, and it looked a lot like modern iguanas. The animal grew to be about 4 or 5 feet long and it spent its days scurrying along Antartica’s forest floors.
