Tired Beyond Belief
His eyes were drawn to the other shoppers, who reminded him of zombies. In the midst of pushing their buggies, tired mothers piled sweets into their children’s hands.
The same thing was happening to other parents and their kids. There were those who looked like they were going through the motions but had no life.
It’s better than being alone, but they didn’t bother him.
