8. Hard Times
After they tied the knot, Elly and Peter had a hard time settling into permanent employment. They were only able to afford a one-bedroom rancher with a cramped living room rather than Elly’s ideal house. It wasn’t a walk in the park, but they made it work by putting money aside whenever feasible for maintenance. The residence would not help.
