Donald Trump controversially hosted SNL right in the midst of his 2016 primary campaign for president.
Cast members were upset at what they felt was the implication that they were supporting Trump as a candidate, while political groups called into question if Trump’s guest spot violated equal time laws. Trump hasn’t appeared since, and given the way the series has treated him since his inauguration, it’s unlikely there will be a reunion any time soon
