In the early 2010s, cast member Fred Armisen caught flack from many for an impersonation of New York’s legally blind-then governor David Paterson.
The impersonation often included Armisen wandering into and out of the camera, leading many to condemn the show for mocking the disabled. Paterson himself appeared on the series in 2010 in a sketch with Armisen
