Waiting for Darkness
He decided to wait until nightfall. In the dark, the elephants’ vision is worsened, so that would be the perfect time to sneak closer. He waited in his Jeep and observed the elephants until the sun began to set. Their interest in the baby’s safety increased with every minute, which wasn’t strange, as a mother elephant would never leave her child behind.
