They Interrogated Peter
Peter was interrogated about the rumored bear sighting. They also had plenty of questions about the child it was supposedly carrying. It was clear to Peter what he had seen, but no one appeared to believe him. But he couldn’t say he entirely blamed them.
They had to find out what was really going on and quickly. The police officers assured Peter that they would be leaving shortly and that they did not find the situation to be funny. Peter was shocked. Was anyone going to take him seriously? He knew what he had seen.
