The New Secretary, Samantha
The recently hired secretary went by the name of Samantha, and similarly to Elaine, she was relatively young. Although Mr. Barrett was not very old himself, he had an established history of exclusively hiring younger secretaries, and none of them managed to stay for more than a few months. It was a clear and repetitive pattern, making Samantha just another addition to the list.
