A Hard Upbringing
Maria hadn’t known her parents very well. She was put into the foster system when she was just nine years old and her adoptive parents took over the parental roles in her life shortly after. This left Maria with feelings of inadequacy that were hard to overcome and she always hoped that she could find someone who would relate to her and make her feel special.
