They pulled up to the big house, and Anna could barely look Jake in the eyes. They approached his parents, who were waiting at the door. Anna swallowed the lump in her throat.
She extended a hand to greet Jake’s father and noticed something strange.
“Oh,” she said, intrigued. “Nice wedding ring. It’s so unique.”
