The problem was that Anna didn’t have much to go on.
When she was left at the orphanage, she had nothing but a few pictures with her.
There was no note, no name, and no reason. It was the lady who ran the orphanage that named her Anna, and she only got her last name when she was adopted. So the pictures were her only clue.
