The passerby was there completely by accident. He was a birdwatcher and followed a trail of very rare ivory-billed woodpeckers to this exact location. This man was well equipped for these surroundings. In fact he had the tool that made the discovery already in his hands. The camera that followed the birds trajectory perfectly, accidentally crossed paths with the animal on the shore banks near Justin and Derek.
