They were interviewed by the news and appeared on talk shows. They were even offered free fishing gear and protective hunting equipment by various companies, so they would be well prepared on their next fishing trip. But although the offers gave them a laugh, they both refused the handouts. They were just happy to be alive and together. They learned a valuable lesson that day.
