Out Of Character
Having patience like a saint is my dad’s strong suit. He rarely got angry. We’re both pretty laid-back people. Growing up, he rarely yelled at us, that was much more my mother’s job.
We were all seated at the dinner table, and all the kids were making noise. My dad then got really fed up with us and yelled, “Shut up!” We were all stunned, as we had never seen anything like it before. That day, I believe he surprised himself.
