Recognition
Flipping the cover open, she stared at a greyscale photograph. She immediately recognized the face staring back at her, the birthday, and the name on the I.D. card.
Mouthing the name as she read it, she blinked in disbelief. This was impossible. Her thoughts wandered. But they were quickly interrupted.
As she examined the card, she noticed the blue lights by her front door. The police had finally arrived.
