They knew they were put into a difficult situation. They had to find a way to stop her from taking things that didn’t belong to her. They were worried that things would escalate without warning. So the solution they came up with was to keep her inside.
But even that didn’t work. Amy would end up slipping out one way or another. She didn’t seem content with sitting at home. They had to think of a new way to keep her inside. Then the idea dawned on them
