Chilling Last Words That Changed People’s Lives

They Couldn’t Make it in Time

In my first year as a nurse, I worked in palliative care. I had a patient who was 28 years old and losing her battle with cancer.  She moved from Canada to be with her boyfriend, who left her a year after moving.

We weren’t expecting her to deteriorate so fast. I held her hand as she passed alone without her family or friends. Right before she passed, she made a tragic confession.

She told me she wished she had never left Canada and cried. Her family was overseas and couldn’t make it in time. Story credit: Reddit / Roaming_Pie
