A Difficult Expedition
This might have been gruesome, but the rest of their expedition had not been any less demanding. They have been pitching tents in the forest next to the patch of road they were building. Anyone else would have been scared and uneasy about sleeping there. Some people would not even consider such a thing.
Although as experienced roadworkers, they knew what to expect. They knew what they were getting themselves into, and the construction workers made peace with the many bugs and animals they were feeling at ease. But they had not anticipated a giant snake.
