The thoughts had been plaguing her the entire day, and she just happened to be going over them once more when the police officer came in and took a seat at one of her tables.
She shook off the thoughts, put on a smile, grabbed a menu, and headed for the officer’s table. But the soon-to-be mom had no idea what the day had in store for her.
