Not The Norm
When I visited Europe, I was shocked to find that there wasn’t any air conditioning. I didn’t know it wasn’t the norm until I was basically burning in my room.
Another thing is that people don’t really ask for ice. People gave me all sorts of looks when I ask for a drink with ice. I had to confirm with one woman who worked at a festival that she understood me.
