Six Quiet Months
Six months passed since Brian told the couple about his neighborhood watch findings, and the three of them were enjoying their retirement. Admittedly, Robert was spending more time at home than ever before, though everyone agreed that he had earned it. Oakshire Crescent had not experienced the home invasion epidemic in those six months as Brian had predicted, so the neighborhood let its guard down and continued on as normal. Robert knew that with all his security in place, he and his wife were as safe as can be. He was totally oblivious to what was around the corner.
