Caught in the Act
Then a police car pulled up outside and two officers were standing, arms crossed, looking unimpressed. There was nowhere for them to turn. Realizing that they were helpless, they removed their masks and sank to the ground, beginning to cry. Robert walked outside to join the officers and take a better look at the two men who had tried to terrorize him. As the officers loaded the men in the back of their car, they looked at Robert, then each other, confused. “What’s going on? Is this some kind of setup?” one asked.
