Serving His Country
John McKee grew up in a military family. His dad was a veteran like his father before him, and his cousins had all followed in their parents’ footsteps. It felt only natural that John too would serve his due diligence in the army, and he officially joined the Marines when he was 25 years old. When he joined the forces, his family was more than supportive. And after a few years of serving in the United States, he was stationed in Afghanistan. While John and his family were proud of him for serving his country, John couldn’t help but dream of the day he could go home for good.
