John wouldn’t accept that answer without a fight. He insisted that whatever documents they had, they had been forged and the police needed to investigate them more. He was the rightful owner, he told them, and they were doing nothing to help him. The police responded that there was nothing else they could do at the moment without sufficient evidence. If John really wanted to continue with this battle, they suggested hiring a lawyer to help him set up the necessary legal process. Then, they left without another word.
