Running Out of Time
John cursed the person behind him as he continued to speed through the city. Not only did he need to lose the car, but he looked at the clock and realized that he needed to get to the deeds office in 10 minutes, or it would be closed and he wouldn’t get his papers until after the weekend. John’s adrenaline was through the roof as he drove. Time was running out. In a final attempt to lose the guy, he made three quick turns—and found himself three whole blocks further than the deeds office.
