The First Encounter
One day, Jack spotted an abandoned kitten playing in their vegetable garden. Initially, he had expected it to be a rodent, but he was glad to see that it was only the cat.
Jack estimated it to be only a few days old, considering its size, possibly being a kitten to one of the stray cats roaming the neighborhood. He wasn’t sure what to do with the little thing, but he could not just leave it.
