Mike decided to ask his daughter once again how her day had gone. He had a feeling that she would say the same thing, but he needed to be sure. But then she said the unexpected.
“It felt a little better after you spoke to me in the car! I just imagined you being with me, and things were better.” It brought some comfort to Mike, but he needed to know exactly what was upsetting her.
