Anger Rising
Evie couldn’t stop crying, but her mom managed to calm her down a bit. Evie had tons of other toys from the party and her mother wanted her to focus on the good parts of the day instead of the ways that it went wrong. Soon enough, she was able to get her daughter back up and playing with her friends as the sun went down on the neighborhood party. Nina wanted them to continue like nothing had happened, but Scott was beside himself with anger. He couldn’t take the image of Bernard laughing as Evie cried out of his mind for even a moment. He only got angrier and angrier was the day went on. As he fumed, a devious idea popped into his head. If the neighbors enjoyed their porch so much, he’d make sure they never enjoyed it again.
