Garden Work
A few months later, the new neighbors had settled in. Shenna and her neighbors hadn’t become best friends like she had hoped could happen, but that was alright because at least they didn’t cause her any trouble. It was summertime, so Shenna and all of her neighbors were on a mission to tidy their yards. The neighborhood had beautiful foliage, but somebody had to take care of all of those leaves that fell from the massive oak trees that were scattered around the block. Shenna liked to bag her leaves and grass cuttings, keeping them around for mulch to fertilize her garden after she mowed the lawn. She planned to grow some fruit and vegetables and share them with her neighbors if she had any extras. Curiously peeking over the fence, she couldn’t help but notice that her neighbors were much more ‘tidy.’
