Escalating
Just when things couldn’t get worse, Alice started playing music at a deafening volume. Now things had gone too far, because this wasn’t just about their lawns anymore. Shenna tossed and turned all night, feeling the bass from Alice’s enormous newly-purchased sound system. Alice was an older woman who didn’t work, but Shenna had to wake up early each morning to take her kids to school and get to work each day. But that didn’t stop her from giving her all in every aspect of her life, including her feud with Alice. Shenna’s temper was like a firework, and once the sparks started to sizzle there was very little time to duck and cover. She didn’t believe that Alice had the stamina to keep this fight going for very much longer. This was the last straw.
