A Plan
Shenna ran out the door to confront Alice and defend herself. She couldn’t believe that she had gotten law enforcement involved! Just as she started to explain herself, Alice chimed in to interrupt her and the police officer butted in to calm down both ladies. But the meddling woman was adamant: the code officer was there to force Shenna to clean up her lawn. The weeks of letting the front yard grow and the piles of garbage bags filled with leaves were just too much for the old woman to bear looking at. Then, Shenna saw something outside Alice’s house. Suddenly, her stern mouth relaxed and a slow grin began to spread across her face. She knew what she could do to get back at Alice this time, even if it meant that she would have to clean up her yard again.
