But Would It Work?
As Dave strutted back into the kitchen proudly, his wife sat at the table shaking her head and finally letting out the laughter she had been holding back. “I can’t believe you did that,” she said. “But, wow, it was amazing.” She was really proud that her husband went so far to try to better their lives and the fact that he did it in such a creative way made her heart beam. She was so happy that she married a man who fought with his brain rather than his fists. The hours passed and night finally settled in. Would the dog’s barks keep the family up tonight? It was anyone’s guess at that point, but Dave had a good feeling in his heart. He knew that the fight wouldn’t end here if the barking continued, so he awaited the night anxiously. The neighbor’s car pulled out of the driveway. Now was the moment of truth.
