Interruption
Scott was having a conversation with one of his friends when he heard the bitter old man’s voice from the other side of the fence, “Hey, Scott! We are trying to enjoy our porch, so tell your sprogs to shut up!” Scott could almost feel his eyes rolling to the back of his head as he lightly clenched his fists. He turned to the old man as he responded, “They are children, Bernard, it’s a party.” This was a usual occurance at Scott’s house and even though he was used to Bernard’s rude outbursts, he knew there was nothing that he could do about it without telling the old man who’s boss. Scott continued to speak to his friend while setting up the grill. The children continued to happily play in the pool, completely unaware that the old man wasn’t going to leave it at that.
