The New Guard
The news that there was a change in guards spread across the prison; new cops had been transferred. Many of them he didn’t identify; he couldn’t have imagined knowing someone. Not until there was an inspection parade in the prison. His eyes couldn’t trick him. It was Greg, his longtime companion from college. Greg was taken aback to see him because he didn’t know him to be a troublemaker. He explained his situation to him and was willing to help in any way, as he had formed an alliance with Greg.
