Doing The Work
Cameron returned to his desk because he still had some work to complete. He promised himself he would try to locate the dog’s owner if it was still there at the close of the day. Fortunately, all of the evidence was found inside the station, so he still had some of it to examine.
He continued to go through the papers while hourly checking the time. He was prepared to see if the dog was still there by six o’clock. But what he would discover would astonish him.
