In pain
Claire was beside herself with pain. She was in so much pain that she could not be bothered to feel embarrassed about the situation. She breathed in heavily as she waited for the hospital staff to give her a sign that the ordeal was close to over. Claire wasn’t certain how much longer she could hold up.
