Vanessa was about halfway down the stairs when Don yelped in agony. He cursed out as Cammy started barking and growling.
The grating sound of a drawer being yanked open echoed through the room. Vanessa picked up her pace.
She couldn’t get to the kitchen fast enough. But what she found when she got there would baffle her even more.
