Restless
Dave did not mind the dog’s barking occasionally. They were naturally inclined to do so.
However, they were exhausted on the first evening in their new house. In the distance, yaps, yips, and howls could be heard as they were readying themselves for bed. Their children kept waking up, and he and his wife would take turns rocking them back to bed. They barely slept an eye that evening.
