As the storm continued to pummel the city, the poor puppy was completely saturated. As there was no one else on the premises but the faithful Kangal, the dog was also doomed to go hungry. Karim, though, was unmoved and maintained his vigil over the gravestone nonetheless. Is it possible that this was merely a case of intense loyalty? Was there a third factor at work?
