Not Surprised At All
The team leader is not surprised at all! He even tells James that he was the one who agreed to bring him in for questioning! James completely loses his temper. He says, “Just because I let him get away? Can’t I afford to make a mistake, after all these loyal years?” The team leader told him that it wasn’t that mistake, but something else that caused him to agree with the police.
