He was finally able to get in touch with the locals, so Ronnie hired two Sherpas to guide him up the mountain. The Sherpa people were nomadic and knew the mountainsides well. Even with their knowledge the trip was difficult and cold. Ronnie started wondering if his equipment would still work in these conditions.
