Cautionary Tale
I was in the woods looking for critters, and I found this big piece of plywood that would’ve been perfect for reptiles and amphibians to hide underneath.
I went to lift it up when I suddenly had this moment where I thought, “What if there’s something right where I’m gonna put my hands?” So, I grabbed a stick to lift it instead…and I almost jumped out of my skin.
There was a copperhead underneath. Yikes! It wasn’t right where I was gonna grab it, so I’m not sure if it would’ve been able to bite me, but it was definitely a good cautionary tale.
