Eerie Gut Feelings That Ended Up Saving People’s Lives

He Was On the Run

I went on an awful date with someone from Tinder. He kept talking about himself the whole time, and it was nothing but the worst-of-the-worst stories:

Him being abusive to his multiple exes but blaming them, telling me how his daughter hated him, and other horrible stuff that I can’t even bring myself to say.

While he was talking, I was pretty much having a panic attack, and the voice in my head was telling me to calmly GET. OUT!

So, I told him I had to leave to go to a family dinner, and he began making every excuse to keep me there while trying to convince me to go home with him.

We were at a Starbucks outside, and eventually, I just got in my car and left…but he followed me!

So, I called my mom, who told me to head over while she called for law enforcement. Luckily she lives in a gated community with a guard at the booth, so he couldn’t follow me in.

Instead, he turned around and sped off. When the officers got there, I gave them all the information I had on this guy—he’d told me many details about his life—and I told the officers everything. That’s when I learned the horrifying truth about him.

It turned out this guy had kidnapped a girl, and he was on the run. He was stupid enough to tell me his real name when we met in person. It was a long summer of multiple court dates just to end with him getting a bull sentence.
