Days Later
Kimberly called a few days later, and a hopeful Melissa kept watching her phone. In fact, she had grown fond of its stained nose since she had returned the bust to its original place in the living room.
Initially, an irritating smudge led her to the appraiser’s office, where she learned a great deal. Her appreciation for the bust was insufficient.
