49. Think Before You Click
Not quite what you were aiming for, but I got someone fired on my first day.
Specifically, I was hired in a temporary position to replace an admin who was off due to long-term health problems. I get in, and I’m set up with access to the admin email account.
The first email I opened was from a throwaway email account with a screenshot of the sick admin’s Facebook page, talking about her job working in a pub while she was on sick leave from our company.
I forwarded it to the manager, who thanked me, then went into her office and spent a while shouting into the phone.
