7. Too Much Expectations
Hired an IT guy with apparently six years of experience – it turned out he’d been the receptionist who helped people with Excel problems.
He didn’t know what to do, so he just did nothing all day. One frank discussion later, and he was gone. Expected to be completely trained on the job.
Tried to take the company to a tribunal, our union guy (who is, as we want him to be, very pro-employee rather than pro-company) laughed at him.
