Teen Trouble
In elementary school, I was walking home with a pair of friends through the high-school parking lot. There was a group of teens sitting around together. As we walked past them, one of them got up and uttered some chilling words: “Hey. Run away from me”. My friends ran a bit and called, “What are you doing”?! One person talking to us was at least twice my height.
He turned to me and said, “You’d better run along with your friends,” and started walking towards me. I replied, “Or what? I dare you to hit me”. I waited for him to sit back down before I walked away. If my friends hadn’t been there to get help if things went wrong, I probably would have run away as he told me to.
