There are some unavoidable circumstances when a few hiccups happen during weddings. If you’re lucky enough, someone will be there to save the day. At this wedding, it turned out to be the Rabbi. “A traditional part of Jewish marriage is the “ketubah”, the marriage contract. These days, they’re kinda like vows with pledges of eternal love and friendship. At my cousin’s wedding, the Rabbi announced that he will read the ketubah when an infant who had been making occasional noises just wails for a moment. The Rabbi, not missing a beat, says “I read it earlier, it’s not that bad! I promise!”
