Tourist Attraction
“My best friend got married last year, and it was an incredibly hot summer day. They got married in the chapel at our university, which is incredibly beautiful and a must-see place for tourists. It was also really cool and airy inside and the doors were obviously closed. We were just getting to the rings, so the wedding party is standing around the altar. It was really quiet. The door to the church opens, and a group of American tourists walks in talking loudly. They got about a quarter of a way down the aisle before they saw all of us staring at them. They all stopped, just froze, and almost ran out of the church. We all lost it laughing, which really helped the bride, she had been horrifically nervous beforehand, but she relaxed after that. In fairness, they came up after the ceremony and apologized. The bride and groom just laughed.”
